Who We Serve

The Diabetes Council serves program managers and staff working in or with state and territorial diabetes prevention and control programs around the country, as well as partner organizations that support the work of the diabetes prevention and control programs.

What We Do

The Diabetes Council's core purpose is to help every state and territorial diabetes prevention and control program to achieve its mission of preventing and controlling diabetes and its complications.

The Council fulfills this purpose through:
  • Influencing decisions and attitudes
  • Making connections
  • Building capacity.

The Council's vision is to be widely viewed as the "go to" resource for diabetes prevention and control programs (DPCPs) and an influential advocate for the needs and priorities of the DPCPs.

Who Are Members?

State and territorial health department staff who work in or with diabetes prevention and control programs.
